SHIRLEY TEMPLE Cut Autograph & Photo

This is a photo and cut autograph of child star Shirley Temple. The picture itself is 10 x 13 and is matted and framed in a dark blue matting and oyster colored 16 x 20 frame. Shirley Temple began acting at the age of 4 and, in 1934, skyrocketed to superstardom in "Bright Eyes," a feature film designed specifically for her talents. She received a special Juvenile Academy Award in February 1935, and filmed hits year after year during the mid-to-late 1930s, such as "Curly Top" and "Heidi." She announced her official retirement from films on December 16, 1950. She also worked in television from 1958 to 1961. She was later selected as Ambassador to Ghana and then Ambassador to Czechoslovakia. She has signed the autograph "Best Wishes - Shirley Temple Black 1983" (Shirley Temple Black is her married name).

Henry Richard Hall was born in 1920 in New York city. He appeared on Broadway in the 1935 production of the play "Dead End." He was then cast along with the other Dead End Kids in the 1937 film "Dead End," starring Humphrey Bogart, which gave way to the "The Bowery Boys" movie franchise, a prolific and highly successful series of comedies in the 1940s and 1950s playing the increasingly buffoonish Horace DeBussy Jones (nicknamed "Sach") in 48 of the Bowery Boys films, gaining top billing when his longtime partner, Leo Gorcey, left the series in 1956. This is a great framed photo signed in blue sharpie.

He starred in many fims, including "Exodus,"  "Hud," "The Hustler," "Cool Hand Luke," "Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid," "The Verdict," and "The Sting." He also starred opposite his wife Joanne Woodward in many motion pictures like "The Long Hot Summer," "From The Terrace," "Rally 'Round the Flag Boys," and "The Drowning Pool."  They were married for 50 years until his death in 2008. Joe Pesci shot to stardom when appeared as boxer Jake LaMotta's brother opposite of superstar Robert DiNiro in "Raging Bull" for which he was nominated as Best Supporting Actor. He won the Best Supporting Actor award 10 years later as psychopathic mobster Tommy DeVito in "Goodfellas," also starring Robert DiNiro. The photo on the left is from his comedic role in "The Super." His other great comedic roles include "Home Alone," "Easy Money," and "My Cousin Vinny." He also played in "JFK," "Casino," and a small part in "A Bronx Tale." The photo on the right shows him in a recording studio. He is also a singer and musician and a co-producer of the Broadway hit "Jersey Boys." He was born Leonard Franklin Slye and was an American singer and cowboy actor, one of the most heavily marketed and merchandised stars of his era, as well as being the namesake of the Roy Rogers Restaurants franchised chain. He and his wife Dale Evans, his golden palomino Trigger, and his German Shepherd dog Bullet, were featured in more than 100 movies and The Roy Rogers Show. The show ran on radio for nine years before moving to television from 1951 through 1957. His productions usually featured a sidekick, often Pat Brady (who drove a Jeep called "Nellybelle"), Andy Devine, or the crotchety George "Gabby" Hayes. Rogers's nickname was "King of the Cowboys." Evans' nickname was "Queen of the West."

Born Jack Carlton Moore in Chicago, Illinois, Clayton Moore became a circus acrobat by age 8 and appeared at the Century of Progress exposition in Chicago in 1934 with a trapeze act. As a young man, Moore worked successfully as a John Robert Powers model. Moving to Hollywood in the late 1930s, he worked as a stunt man and bit player between modeling jobs. Around 1940 Hollywood producer Edward Small persuaded him to adopt the stage name "Clayton" Moore. He was an occasional player in B westerns and the lead in four Republic Studio cliffhangers, and two for Columbia. He became an American icon as The Lone Ranger on TV. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II and made training films (Target-Invisible, etc.) with the First Motion Picture Unit.

RAY "Crash" CORRIGAN Autographed 8 x 10 Photo

This is an 8 x 10 autographed photo of western star, Ray "Crash" Corrigan. He was born Raymond Benard and was an actor most famous for appearing in B-Western movies. He also performed stunts. His career in Hollywood began as a physical fitness instructor and physical culture trainer to the stars. In the early 1930s he did stunts and bit parts. Republic Studios signed him to a Term Player Contract, running from May 25, 1936 to May 24, 1938. He was cast as one the trio in the Three Mesquiteers series of western films and starred in 24 in all. He left Republic in 1938 in a dispute over pay. At Monogram Pictures, he began a new series of films, The Range Busters (a cheap copy of the Three Mesquiteers) with a character of his own name. Ray starred in 20 of the 24 films in this series between 1940 and 1943.

This is a cut autograph of western star Ken Maynard. He worked at carnivals and circuses, starting at age 16, and became an accomplished horseman. As a young man, he performed in rodeos and was a trick rider with Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. During World War I, he served in the United States Army. After the war, Maynard returned to show business as a circus rider with Ringling Brothers. When the circus was playing in Los Angeles, actor Buck Jones encouraged Maynard to try work in the movies. Maynard soon had a contract with Fox Studios. He appeared in more than 90 films.

Sunset Carson was born Winifred Maurice Harrison and was an American B-western star of the 1940s. He became an accomplished rodeo rider in his youth. Carson was on the top-10 list of money makers for western stars. He was given a horse named "Cactus" and starred in a string of semi-successful western genre films. This is a Sunset Carson Fan Club Membership autographed by Carson. It is an actual autograph - NOT a facsimile. This still has the mailing address of the person to whom it was sent on the other side. A great collectors' item from the western genre of yesteryear.

Bob Steele was born Robert Adrian Bradbury into a vaudeville family. He was re-christened Bob Steele at FBO (Film Booking Offices of America) and soon made a name for himself, and in the late 1920s, 1930s and 1940s starred in B-Westerns for almost every minor film studio, including Monogram, Supreme, Tiffany, Syndicate, Republic (including several films of the Three Mesquiteers series) and Producers Releasing Corporation (PRC) (including the initial films of their "Billy the Kid" series), plus he had the occasional role in an A-movie, as in the adaptation of John Steinbeck's novel, Of Mice and Men from 1939. This is a cut autograph and photo. It will be matted before shipping.

This is a nicely matted and framed autographed photo of actor-comedian Bob Hope at one of his favorite places, a golf course. Born Leslie Townes Hope in London in 1903, he became an American citizen in 1920 at age 17 and is an American treasure. He lived to 100 years old and in that span worked in Vaudeville, Stage, films (most notably the "Road" series of films with Bing Crosby), broadcasting and even boxed under the name of "Packy East." Hope did numerous TV specials and appearances, hosted his own Bob Hope TV Show, started his own charity golf tournament (the Bob Hope Dessert Classic) and golfed with presidents, and hosted the Academy Awards 18 times. One of his greatest lifetime achievements was his USO tours to entertain the troops overseas for 50 years, always taking along other Hollywood stars and especially the sexiest women of the day, saying, "I just wanted you to see what you're fighting for." A 1997 Act of Congress signed by President Clinton named Hope an "Honorary Veteran." Hope remarked, "I've been given many awards in my lifetime but to be numbered among the men and women I admire most is the greatest honor I have ever received." It is signed and inscribed, "To Diana, My USO Gal - Bob Hope."

DUNCAN RENALDO "Cisco Kid" Cut Autograph and 8 x 10 Photo

This is a cut autograph and photo of Duncan Renaldo, better known as a Mexican crime fighter, The Cisco Kid. His name was reversed as he was born Renault Renaldo Duncan in Romania in 1904. In the late 1940s, Renaldo starred in several Hollywood Westerns as The Cisco Kid, and in 1950, he began playing the role in a popular television series that ran until 1956. In the age of black-and-white television, the show was filmed in color. As Cisco, Renaldo roamed the Old West on a black-and-white horse named Diablo, accompanied by his constant companion, Pancho, played by Leo Carrillo, who was 24 years Renaldo's senior. The Cisco Kid always helped where needed, and unlike most Western heroes, rarely killed anyone. This photo is on the grainy side and not as clear as pictured here. If we can find a replacement we will change it.

Born Michael Finocchiaro in St. Louis, MO, the son of Italian immigrants, Mickey Carroll was one of the Munchins in the 1939 hit film, "The Wizard of Oz." At age 7, he began dance lessons at the Fox Theater in St. Louis. At 17 he was one of six bellhops in the 'Call for Phillip Morris' live radio ads, and at 18 was appearing in shows with Mae West. While under contract to MGM, he went to school with Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney. It was Garland herself who offered him a part in The Wizard of Oz.

This is a VHS tape of the film "The Wizard of Oz" autographed by Mickey Carroll on the inside cover of the case. Mickey was one of the Munchins in the 1939 hit film. He wrote, "Mickey Carroll - Follow The Yellow Brick Road - 1939."

This is an 8 x 10 sepia colored photo of the 3 Stooges. It is signed with only their first names: Larry, Curly Joe, Moe. The originals were Larry Fine, Curly Howard and Moe Howard. Shemp Howard replaced brother Curly Howard in 1946.  Joe Besser replaced Shemp Howard after his death in 1955. Joe DeRita became Curly Joe in 1958. Larry Fine suffered a stroke in 1970 which effectively marked the end of the team. Moe tried to keep it going but the comedy team came to its final end in 1975 when Larry and Moe died 4 months apart.

This is a cachet celebrating a commemorative stamp to honor Philadelphia's own Grace Kelly who starred in Hollywood movies before marrying Prince rainier of Monaco and becoming Princess Grace. This stamp was issued in 1993 and is canceled with a special Ocean City, NJ "Summer Home of Princess Station" stamp marking the weekend of Aug. 12, 13, 14, 1993. It is NOT autographed.
