Adrian Cronauer (born September 8, 1938 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is a former United States Air Force sergeant and radio personality on Armed Forces Radio, whose experiences as an innovative deejay in Vietnam inspired the 1987 film "Good Morning, Vietnam." He wrote the original screenplay for the film but it was completely re-written and although almost none of the re-write contains any of the true story of his experiences in Vietnam, it was a successful and popular movie starring Academy Award, Golden Globe Award (4), Emmy Award (2) , Screen Actors Guild Award (2) and Grammy Award(5) winning actor, Robin Williams as Adrian Cronauer.
